Known as the longest beach in the world, Cox's Bazar is not, by far, one of those crowded vacation destinations, but rather the opposite. Something very curious if we consider that we are talking about an immense beach of more than 120 kilometers, of golden sand and crystalline waters.

Of course, it is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh, protected by a tourist police that covers visitors and takes care of nature and wildlife at the most visited points. There, luxury hotels and resorts are ideal for a family holiday, all with views of the Bay of Bengal. And it is one of those magical beaches in which during the day one can sunbathe, surf, and swim, but in which you also have to enjoy the sunset or sunrise. The colors of the sky contrast in those hours with the sea and illuminate the bay in a truly exceptional way.
The beach is divided into different areas. One is called Kolatoli and is one of the most visited. It is in a quiet area where life passes slowly. It is not uncommon to see people walk through it in the moonlight. Another is called Inani and is 35 kilometers south of the city of Cox’s Bazar. It is also considered the widest beach in the world, with 180 meters at high tide and 300 meters at low tide. It is a splendid beach of fine golden sand at the foot of green hills and bathed by clean blue waters. Undoubtedly the place is most picturesque, surrounded by palm trees and with the sand full of shells of different colors, shapes and sizes and boulders of rocks and coral. Of course, it lacks services so it is necessary to take lunch and drink if one thinks to spend the day there.
Bounded by the Chittagong district to the north, the Bay of Bengal to the south, the district of Bandarban to the east and the Bay of Bengal to the west, as well as the presence in the area of important rivers such as the Matamuhuri, the Bakkhali, the Reju Khal, the Naf river, and the Maheshkhali Kutubdia canal, Cox's Bazar is a wonderful natural space to enjoy in India.

Himchari National Park south of Cox's Bazar with its lush rainforest, grasslands, trees, and waterfalls, is one of those ideal places for nature lovers. In addition one of the waterfalls, the largest of them, falls on the beach on the sand. This park created by the Government of Bangladesh is a conservation area for research, education and recreation, hogra of several elephants.
Nearby we can also visit Aggmeda Khyang, a Buddhist monastery revered by thousands of people. And about 10 kilometers away, Ramu, a town famous for its handicrafts and for its handmade cigars. If you travel with the little ones, you will love Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park, the first safari park in Bangladesh, in a protected area where animals are kept in a natural environment and there are domesticated elephants where you can go for a walk.
