Wild pandas only live in remote regions of China, in the mountains where there are large bamboo forests, which are characterized by a cool and humid climate, just as pandas like them. In that world, the panda finds refuge and a foreseeable meal that does not have to hunt or go looking.

The panda is a carnivore, which has undergone a drastic rehabilitation, like its powerful molars or its sixth finger, to survive only with bamboo leaves. Due to the low nutritional value of the vegetable compared to any carnivorous diet, it makes you have to eat large amounts of bamboo.

Adult males, who are older than females, can eat up to 18 kg per day to meet their energy needs. They can also eat birds or rodents.
They climb up to 4 meters in summer to feed and get their bamboo. Normally Pandas are seen eating in a relaxed position, as if they were sitting, with their feet in front. They usually spend half the day eating, about 10-12 hours, and then sleep. So you can say that eating and sleeping is all they do.

Their appearance is that of some lazy animals that only devote themselves to eating, but in reality they are excellent tree climbers, and notable swimmers. The panda does not travel much more than 500 meters a day. It does not build caves, but takes refuge in them, as well as in cavities of the land, rock holes and hollows of large trees. Shy and rarely aggressive, females only show violence if they see their puppy in danger or if their territory is invaded.

Pandas are very lonely animals, with a highly developed sense of smell, which males use to not find each other, and to locate females and reproduce in spring.
Females, after 5 months of pregnancy, give birth to one or two offspring. At birth, the offspring only weigh 140 grams, and are white and completely blind. Black takes it later.

There are only about 1000 wild pandas released. In zoos live about 100, and of course they are the main attraction of these.

Pandas in freedom are very difficult to study since they easily escape and do not like to be observed.
